Introductions

First Assembly of God in Gaithersburg, Maryland began with just a few people meeting in a field to seek God. They saw such a move of God among them they sought to build a church on the exact property they were meeting. In November of 1963, our sanctuary was completed. Our desire is still the same today as it was over 50 years later, that we as a people will get to know the real and living God and make Him known to the rest of the world. We believe that God is not a dictator up in the sky who doesn’t care about our day to day lives, but is a loving Father who cares about us more then we could ever comprehend. Our passion is helping people increase their spiritual life by building a relationship with God. 

We believe that God desires to have a relationship with us and that we are to have a relationship with each other. This is the reason that we encourage people to connect with others and help create an environment to do so. We love connecting people with God and seeing people connect with people. Through corporate times of worship, fun fellowship, and creative events, we want to create an atmosphere where each individual feels God’s love tangibly. We have over 14 nations represented in our church people and believe in the beautiful diversity of people. Our heart for the nations is reflected by the 12 missionaries that we support financially. 

We would love to have you come, visit with us, and be our guest.   We are an Assembly of God Church founded with the principle that the most important thing a person can have is a relationship with God.  We encourage people to have a relationship with God by prayer, reading His word and spending time with His people.
